0

First of all, I want to apologize to myself and my readers for abandon this blog for more than 4 years. I was so depressed and put myself on hold on everything. Every time I tried to fix it, the more challenge I faced which tested my inner self. It was a very hard journey and finally, I believe I half overcome it as I put on my courage to penned down it here. I am not ready to talk about it as my journey are still far from the finish line.

And for now, I promised to update more here. I want to do it for myself not for the money, not for the fame but to ground myself, to remind me of the past, a reminder of happy memories and to keep in check with myself to never give up and do your best on every step of your life.

Morning from Pokhara, Rise & Shine with a bright sky :) Lets start our day by touring around Pokhara town by our own. I feel so happy and fresh in the morning, with a bright sky & see a lot of Annapurna Mountain tips surrounding Pokhara... make feel so tiny yet so big in this vast world. I wish 1 day I would have the guts to trekking on Annapurna. Lol:P

Small peaceful Pokhara town
For those who intrested in hiking, extreme activities, kayaking.. etc.. There is a lot of activities you can do in Pokhara & travel agency is all over the place :) The Pokhara town is divide by 2 parts. Tourist city & Old city. Tourist part is where all the tourist attraction at while the Old Town is normal worker city, which you usely don't go. All I can said, the place remind me of Taiping, as the Tourist part is beside Phewa Lake. The place was beautiful, quite, calm & yeahhh its a good place if you looking for calmness in yourself with a lot of friendly people.

Shawl shoping, the owner is nice.. but this shop is expensieve!

This nepalese staff also used to work in Malaysia :)

Cow is everywhere, they just walk around aimlessly & shit all place.

Phewa Lake, Yes you can rent the boat by hours.
At 10.30am our tour guide, took us to our own booking hotel to check in at Vardan Resort N Apartment. And tadaaa... i see my relative also just arrives at the same time :) I`m so happy i wont be stuck with my mum & sis only anymore!! The hotel is nearby the lake & town which happen to most all of the hotel here.. but the design here is very wonderful & pretty. The staff is sweet & the receptionist love to read books & chat with you about world issue. Overall I will rate this place, 5 stars given it hospitality to our big family!

The other side of Pokhara
Standing on top of the Ananda hill, Shanti Stupa / World Peace Pagoda adds more beauty to Pokhara Valley. It is a perfect holiday place providing a clear view of the Himalayan range, Phewa Lake and Pokhara city. The hilltop provides a splendid view of sunrise and sunset. TripAdvisor has ranked Shanti Stupa as top second attraction in Pokhara. The pagoda is 7 kilometers from Mahendrapool, the major business spot in Pokhara. There are several ways to reach the peace pagoda. There are hiking trails, cycling tracks and the blacked topped road to the Stupa. There are many trails for hiking. One of the popular and adventurous hiking trails is by crossing the Fewa Lake by a local boat and climb uphill through the local villages that takes about an hour to reach the hilltop. The partial black-topped road from Chorepatan to the Stupa takes about 25 minutes, which can be reached by taxi or private cars. For more infomation for this monument, check here.

0

Beautiful roof-top longue at Shang-ri La Boutique Hotel
Today entry is my 2nd day in Kathmandu, Nepal. After a few trip in the city we will drive 6 hours to Pokhara. At the hotel we stayed, we were provided with vegetarian breakfast set which is Muslim friendly. FREAKING GOD, that was one of heavenly breakfast that i have ever tasted!!!
Egg,potato, cabbage, orange juice, coffee, capati & freakin delicious original Nepal Fruit yogurt

After a spoiled delicious breakfast, we were greet with our tour guide for our next destination which is Boudhanath Stupa.  The stupa's massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. The Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath dominates the skyline. The ancient Stupa is one of the largest in the world. The influx of large populations of refugees from Tibet has seen the construction of over 50 Tibetan Gompas (Monasteries) around Boudhanath. As of 1979, Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More info, do check wikipedia >>> Boudhanath Stupa

I really adore the design of surrounding buildings, according to our tour guide.. Kathmandu building design is influence by the Dutch taken by one of their king in the past.

My favourite photo i`ve taken

After an hour or so, we finish our tour at Boudhanath & went to our last destination in Kathmandu city, Pashupatinanth Temple for Hinduism. Which according to our tour guide, in the next few days of our visit, the temple will be visited by The President of India. The temple is the most sacred Hindu shrine and one of the greatest Shiva sites. The temple serves as the seat of the national deity, Lord Pashupatinath. This Hindu temple precinct is on UNESCO World Heritage Sites's list. This "extensive Hindu temple precinct" is a "sprawling collection of temples, ashrams, images and inscriptions raised over the centuries along the banks of the sacred Bagmati river" and is included as one of the seven monument groups in UNESCO's designation of Kathmandu Valley as a cultural heritage site. Taken from Pashupatinath Temple wikipedia.
The cost to enter this temple is RS, 1000 per person.

Goodbye Kathmandu
This is the end of our trip in Kathmandu sightseeing. We finish it around 10 am and drive straight to Pokhara through Nepal mountain road, valley, river and stream. The road trip took 6 hours drive to reach Pokhara. The view of the valley is really a paid-off for the long drive... so beautiful and majestic.

For Malaysian, the road mostly look alike a lot to Cameron Highland highway. Its only two-way lane, we drive through mountain valley and It`s really, worth your time to take this long journey....

Lets re-fill our gas before long drive :)
Let`s go Pokhara!
LUNCH BREAK!!! After 2 hours and a half at last we make a stopped at this Hill Top Restaurant. Lets take a break and make sure finish your business here too :P
We also met an Indian family from Melaka that came here to pray & on their way back to Kathmandu. Such a small world :-)
Enjoy our lunch here!!
We spot L O V E shape cloud!
Their chapatti tastes great & Potato finger fries.
The restaurant is huge, awesome view & i like its exterior.
Annndddd after 3 more hours we finally arrive in Pokhara!!! Yeay :) We change our drivers & cars, since for tourism they only allowed small car in Pokhara. WHY? Let the picture explain...
Our way to Sarangkot Hills.
For tourist spot up a hill, only can be access via small car! Honestly the road is so scarry that i tried to close my eyes everytime we bump with other car but the view is just too breathtaking for me to close my eyes. Just for the view.... i braces myself open my eyes :)
Local bus, flat tire in the middle of road -..-
On top of Sarangkot!!!
Pokhara city! Breathtaking views.
Having a lovely moment with my Queen on top Sarangkot.
Sarangkot hotel room that we suppose to take.
Ok, our itinerary actually is 1n Kathmandu - 1n Sarangkot - 2n Pokhara - 1n Kathmandu. Our pokhara guide advise us not to stay in Sarangkot bcuz he keep saying the hotel didnt fulfill his satisfactory level, so after he success persuade my mum & sis... we decided to spend our night in Pokhara instead of Sarangkot. Thats the end of our day 2 in Nepal. We spend the whole night in room.. eating maggi, nyum nyum nyum.
